Working with a wedding planner

Wedding styles are as diverse as the range of ways you can structure your special day.  This can be confusing (and sometimes even discouraging) if you are unfamiliar with the process!

From the traditional ceremony to the contemporary or themed one; from the simple day to the complete weekend: each wedding is, by definition, unique.  Together we will ensure that yours is a memorable event.  You will benefit from our extensive experience of wedding design as we help you to navigate through the various stages and guide you in your decisions.

How does it work?

 We offer you an initial consultation so we can take the time to get to know each other.  This enables us to discuss you and your wishes.  You’ll describe to us what you envisage for your wedding.  We’ll tell you about our experience and show you our portfolio.

After the consultation, should you choose to entrust us with your wedding, we will begin by seeking a venue to suit your desires, your style and your taste.  Once the date is fixed, the venue booked and the style defined, we will embark upon the design and planning of your ceremony.

Step by step…

We will guide you through each stage by suggesting two or three potential suppliers for each area of responsibility - such as the florist, the caterer and the musical entertainment.  You will have a chance to meet the suppliers we recommend, and the final choice will of course be yours.

Communication is essential.  For each step of the planning process, we will keep you up to date by email, on a daily basis, with the progress made.  We will also meet with you regularly to discuss preparations.  This way you will always know exactly where we are up to – and you can relax!

Throughout the organisation process, we’ll be there to advise you on all aspects of your wedding so that every detail is anticipated and planned out carefully.

Money, money, money…

If you so wish, we can manage your budget, updating it ourselves for the whole of the wedding design process.  Taking on this task allows us to make the planning even easier for you: this way you won’t have to worry about a thing.

Timing

Some time before the special day, we will carry out the “Timing” of your wedding.  This means rehearsing the ceremony in its entirety, almost minute by minute, based on planned events, making clear who does what and when.

This “Timing” will be accompanied by a “Contact List”, bringing together the contacts (names, and telephone numbers) of the suppliers involved in the event.

All the suppliers will receive a copy of the “Timing” a few days before the ceremony.  This will ensure that everyone involved is aware of how events will progress, with details about his or her own part to play.  No misunderstandings possible.

You will also receive a copy of your own.  (We will show you a copy created for one of our previous weddings during our first meeting.)

What if you have already chosen your suppliers?

Although we have established excellent relations with a number of suppliers with share our vision of weddings, we can also integrate providers of your choice.
